The current Administrator for J Petrov Academy, Rubin assisted in the early formation of the club and was instrumental in gaining a US Club charter as well as successfully applying for and earning the same from FYSA in 2020.
As Administrator, he oversees the college recruitment for all Academy players that show an interest in playing at the next level. He also is involved in the marketing, advertising, and promotions.
In addition to working alongside Jelco Petrov to help the area’s youth secure a better future through the sport, Rubin has been a Real Estate Broker and Investor for over 22 years in Florida and Texas working in land acquisition and development with the nations and region’s leading home builders.
Having been involved with the planning and execution of some of this country’s largest events including a presidential fund raiser and the grand re-opening of The Statue of Liberty, Mr. Rubin uses his 35 years of management, sales, marketing, advertising, and public relations skills to maximize the potential of the Academy.
He has refined those skills working as an executive and/or consultant for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, PGA National, Ibis Golf & Country Club, Freedom Communications, WCBS-TV, USA Hockey, the New York Islanders, Burger King and Clear Channel Worldwide.
Mr. Rubin also served as a sportswriter for The Palm Beach Post covering soccer including The Fort Lauderdale Strikers and the US National Team. An active and respected member of the community, he has won numerous civic and professional awards and currently serves as President of Upper 90 Charity, a nonprofit that assists families and players of the sport locally with training fees and other related support. He has in the past served on many boards for both civic and government programs like the Environmental Learning Center, Junior Achievement, and several school advisory boards in St. Lucie County. Mr. Rubin was enshrined into the New York Institute of Technology Athletic Hall of Fame in 2009.
